The Road to Building Healthy

Babies

Today, many couples and families face the reality that growing a family may be more challenging than expected. With that comes month after month of hopeful expectations that their bundle of joy is on the way. Unfortunately, you are not alone, and the statistics show fertility concerns continue to be on the rise.

1 in 6 individuals around the world experience infertility issues.

19% of all couples are unable to conceive after a year of trying and 10% of all couples are unable to conceive after two years of trying to get pregnant.

15 million individuals struggle with infertility.

12% of women experience difficulties becoming pregnant or carrying a child to term.

33% of Americans have turned to fertility treatments or know someone who has.

Why are we seeing this change?

Our society is not what it once was several decades ago which has led to numerous changes in our food, beverages, and day to day products commonly found in our homes. On top of that, companies have added ingredients so their products taste better, smell better, last longer, create more suds, and put more money in their pockets.

Here’s the caveat!

Standards have shifted, rules and regulations have changed and research is minimal in many areas. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we take a proactive approach and understand the impact of these unknown ingredients and the role they play in infertility.

What’s the Common Denominator?

Birth Control has become a common practice worldwide for women and teens. Not only is it used as a contraceptive, but doctors are prescribing it to “remedy” other symptoms such as…

Regulating heavy periods

Cramps

Acne

PCOS &

Endometriosis

The problem is birth control emits chemicals within the body tricking it not to run its natural cycle. While it is perceived as a benefit to support women’s health and lifestyle, in reality, it is often the catapult to rising health conditions such as hormonal imbalances, auto-immune issues, and even cancer over time.

When you feel like you’ve tried everything under the sun, it is time to do something

different!

Detoxifying the Body

The average American is exposed to over 700,000 chemicals daily. (1) No wonder the body needs extra support to detox and eliminate the extra toxin overload! Detoxing the body comes in many forms by ridding the body of chemicals, pesticides, food dyes, additives and even pharmaceuticals. It’s key to balance the gut, eliminate inflammation from within the body, and clear out any system that is on overload. The truth when tested these toxic chemicals have even been found in the baby’s placenta after birth.
Emotions and stress can also burden the body. When the body is toxic, it is therefore unable to support the additional stress of building a baby, and therefore, is a huge reason why so many men and women currently struggle with fertility.

It’s Time for a change!

We offer a variety of tools and services that enable the body eliminate toxins so it can restore, repair and optimize function. Making a baby requires energy, intention, and vital building blocks, so when it get compromised, it impacts one’s ability to conceive.

10 Steps to Prepare Your Body

WATER

Drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day. Make sure it is quality water either from a filtration system, a Berkey or something that will filter out the heavy metals, chemicals, etc. Distillers are great but you need to add minerals back into the water.

FOOD

Eat organic, non-GMO foods to avoid as many chemicals as possible. We realize this is a challenge given economics and sourcing, but simple changes like avoiding ultra-processed foods and going for whole foods or foods with ingredients you can at least pronounce can make a huge difference in your health! Limiting sugar is also key! It is addictive AND suppresses our immune systems.

MOVEMENT

Exercise regularly and get outside! Studies have shown that consistent movement allows your lymphatic system to work properly and to release hormones that are imperative to a positive outlook and overall wellness. Walking 30 minutes a day can be the best prevention for managing various conditions, including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes. Of course, it improves cardiovascular fitness and helps oxygenate your body!

SLEEP

7 to 8 hours of sleep is ideal for adults, and kids need even more! This is
sometimes the hardest part, because stress, body imbalances and nutrient deficiencies can disturb our sleep. Sleeping is the only time that our body has a chance to fully repair and recover. Our organs have specific functions while we sleep and if we rob our bodies of this healing time, our bodies don’t function as well.

CAFFEINE AND ALCOHOL.

Avoid excess caffeine and alcohol. Added sugars, chemicals, calories and more can contribute to health Issues.

DEEP BREATHING

Practice deep breathing daily. Most of the time we are taking shallow breaths and are in a constant fight or flight stage. This robs our brain and body of oxygen that is needed for functioning properly and healing. Deep breathing
puts us in a rest and digest stage.

Take some time to complete a deep breathing exercise by breathing in for 5 counts and breathing out for 5 counts. Repeat this over and over until you find your mind and body begin to relax and unwind.

GET ADEQUATE SUNLIGHT

We must get enough Vitamin D (which is really a hormone) to push enough calcium into our bones to keep them strong. Vitamin D is a natural antioxidant for the body and plays a key role in overall immune health. Believe it or not, even in our state, of Florida, most people are deficient in Vitamin D. We have been trained to cover up and lather on sunscreen to avoid the sun. It inhibits the good rays from providing the necessary benefits. Hot tip: First, get a CLEAN sunscreen so we don’t add harmful synthetics to our body. Secondly, moderate exposure, 20 minutes a day, will be beneficial.

AVOID TOXINS

Avoid increasing body burden with synthetics, toxins and known carcinogens. The average woman puts on over 300 chemicals a day, and 80 of these before breakfast! Cleaners, perfumes, personal care products all add to our body burden.

They disrupt our hormones and respiratory systems. If you have a hormonal imbalance or respiratory issue, this is even more important!

MANAGE STRESS

Stress can be the cause of many health issues. 75% -90% of all doctor’s office visits are for stress-related issues. In addition to exercise, essential oils are a great tool to help de-escalate situations or be proactive. We have a stress buster in a bottle and it’s called Stress Away essential oil! Also, stress will eat up your B vitamins, so it’s a good idea to have a quality supplement that has all the B’s. We can hook you up with a methylated, all-inclusive B Vitamin supplement.

LIMIT MEDIA AND ELECTRONICS.

Noise from social media, news, and other electronic media, not only affect our brains but they affect our emotions. Fear, isolation and other emotions can affect our daily living and our health. And…electromagnetic radiation adds to body burden- the amount of stress on our brain is overwhelming, this includes virtual reality and our phones. Turning off the news can help our emotions. Buying selenite towers and other EMF protective devices can also
help with the radiation in our homes.

Addressing the Whole Picture

While we often associate infertility as being something related to women, there are many male-related factors, too. We thoroughly test to determine which key areas may be impacting sperm count and contributing to your fertility frustrations.

As a momma is it so important to do your research and to know what you are saying “yes” and “no” to when it comes to delivering your baby. Doctors are quick to pressure new moms or use fear tactics to make you feel like your a bad mother if you don’t do x, y, or z.

This is not the case.

Your little one has been entrusted in your hands. In fact, doctors are not decision makers or have authority over you or your child. So, at the end of the day, as a momma you have to do what is right for you and your family.

Questions to ask yourself.

Do you know the purpose of ______?

Who is funding ___?

What are the risks associated with ___ decision?

What are some natural alternatives to doing ______? (Trust us. They are out there!)

When it comes to giving birth, it’s important to make decisions early on between you and your partner to ensure you are on the same page and that you truly have conviction as to where you stand. That way, if you ever feel pressured, the two of you have each other’s back.

Questions to have answered before giving birth.

What is your ideal birth plan/ preference?

Will you have a doula or mid-wife?

Where will you be giving birth?

Do you plan on having an unmedicated birth?

What alternative pain relief options do you want to use?

Will you opt out of immunizations?

Will you do delayed cord clamping?

Our bodies are made to birth babies, and while there are extenuating circumstances that my be unpredicted, you’ve got this momma. Even more importantly, know there is a tribe and community of like-minded mommas to support you along the way.
